MEET MACKENZIE
Mackenzie Martinelli studied Graphic Design during her time at Dallas Baptist University and later received her interior design degree at NYIAD. Directly out of school, Mackenzie worked as a design assistant with a luxury custom home builder in Westlake, Texas. She later worked with a design firm based out of Dallas who focused on luxury furniture design and procurement. She then owned a home staging company furnishing luxe, vacant homes before founding Sandalwood Interiors in 2021. Mackenzie lives in DFW with her husband David, daughter, and Golden Retriever Luna.
Joelle Atwood received her undergraduate degree in Hotel and Hospitality Management and her MBA at Dallas Baptist University. She joined a hospitality procurement and installation firm taking her to projects in Cabo and Anguilla. She worked in a purchasing role for a local interior design firm before joining the Sandalwood Interiors as a founder in 2021. Joelle lives in DFW and is married to her husband, Todd, and has three kids plus a bernedoodle!
