We are sister duo Mackenzie Martinelli and Joelle Atwood offering full service interior design and procurement services in the DFW area and beyond.

MEET MACKENZIE:

Mackenzie Martinelli studied Graphic Design during her time at Dallas Baptist University and later received her interior design degree at NYIAD. Directly out of school, Mackenzie worked as a design assistant with a luxury custom home builder in Westlake, Texas. She later worked with a design firm based out of Dallas who focused on luxury furniture design and procurement. She then owned a home staging company furnishing luxe, vacant homes before founding Sandalwood Interiors in 2021. Mackenzie lives in DFW with her husband David, daughter Scarlett, and Golden Retriever Luna.

MEET JOELLE:

Joelle Atwood received her undergraduate degree in Hotel and Hospitality Management and her MBA at Dallas Baptist University. She joined a hospitality procurement and installation firm taking her to projects in Cabo and Anguilla. She worked in a purchasing role for a local interior design firm before joining the Sandalwood Interiors as a founder in 2021. Joelle lives in DFW and is married to her husband, Todd, and has three kids, Naomi, Grayson, and Delaney.
